Driftless Haus has three bedrooms — all king beds, all private ensuite bathrooms. The main-level primary suite is on the entry floor. Two additional king suites are on the lower level, each with its own ensuite bath. The lower-level family room has a queen sleeper sofa for additional sleeping capacity. There are no shared bathrooms between any rooms.

Yes. Driftless Haus has a covered hot tub under a gazebo, available year-round. It's accessible directly from the lower level and is cleaned and treated prior to every stay.

Yes. The backyard fire pit is a natural gathering spot after dark. Firewood is provided with every stay.

Yes. The great room features a wood-burning fireplace — a natural centerpiece for cooler evenings and one of the most requested features at Driftless Haus in fall and winter.

Driftless Haus does not have a private pool on-site. However, every stay includes six Galena Territory Owners Club access cards, which provide access to both an indoor pool (year-round) and an outdoor pool (Memorial Day through Labor Day) at the Owners Club recreation complex.

No pets are permitted at Driftless Haus. This is a strict no-pet property with no exceptions.

Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa is approximately five minutes from Driftless Haus by car. Eagle Ridge has four championship golf courses: The North, The South, The East, and The General. Discounted golf passes are available exclusively for Driftless Haus guests — inquire at the time of booking. Stonedrift Spa is also located at Eagle Ridge.

Historic Downtown Galena is approximately 10 minutes from Driftless Haus by car — boutique shopping, wine tasting, fine dining, antiques, and year-round events.

The Galena Territory is a 6,800-acre private recreational and residential community located in Jo Daviess County, Illinois, six miles east of historic Galena. It features Lake Galena, 31 miles of hiking and biking trails, a marina, a recreation complex with indoor and outdoor pools, and is home to Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa.

Driftless Haus uses a smart lock for self check-in. Three days before your arrival date, you will receive house information and arrival instructions. Your unique door code will be sent one day before arrival. Check-in is at 4:00 PM.

Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Checkout is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late checkout may be available but can only be confirmed the day before arrival and are not guaranteed.

Yes. Driftless Haus can be booked directly through The Collection Vacation Homes. Direct booking avoids third-party platform service fees.

Driftless Haus has the following cancellation policy:

• More than 30 days before arrival: Full refund, less a $75 cancellation fee
• More than 14 days before arrival: 50% refund, less a $75 cancellation fee
• Within 14 days of arrival: No refund

We enforce our cancellation policy as written — if something comes up after booking, we won't be able to make exceptions. This is exactly why we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking. Travel insurance is available through Airbnb, VRBO, or directly through The Collection Vacation Homes.

Rental Agreement. A rental agreement must be e-signed within 48 hours of booking acceptance. After your booking is confirmed, watch the message thread — a link to the agreement will arrive within a few minutes. Signing promptly keeps your reservation secure.

Guest Count & Names. An accurate guest count is required at the time of booking — please review carefully before submitting. All guests must be named in the rental agreement. Maximum occupancy is specified in your agreement and is strictly enforced.

ID Verification. The primary renter must upload a photo of their driver's license or other government-issued ID to the rental agreement. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old and must be present for the full duration of the stay.

No Parties or Events. Private events and parties of any kind are not permitted at Driftless Haus.

No Smoking. Smoking of any kind — including vaping and marijuana — is strictly prohibited inside the home and within 15 feet of any doors or windows.

Quiet Hours. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Driftless Haus is situated within a residential community with many full-time residents. We ask all guests to be mindful of noise levels — indoors and out — during quiet hours. Please plan outdoor gatherings, fire pit evenings, and hot tub use accordingly.

Linen Damage. Guests are responsible for damage to linens — sheets, quilts, comforters, and towels — beyond normal wear. Replacement costs will be assessed and charged to the reservation.

No Pets. No pets are permitted at Driftless Haus. If evidence of an unauthorized pet is found at the property, a $500 fee will be charged to the reservation.

Rule Violations. Violation of any house rules may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation without refund.
